The long-anticipated ribbon-cutting for Lake Washington Institute of Technology's Center for Design took place on September 24, 2026. The occasion began with the dedication of "Snoqualmie Pass," a sculpture by artist James Madison anchoring the Center for Design's outdoor courtyard. The new facility supports LWTech's Art, Design, Illustration, Architecture, and Gaming programs, and includes an event space with accommodation for up to 501 guests.
