stephen starling, aia
Principal
As Design Principal, Stephen uses his talent to balance aesthetics, program and budget during every step of the design process. He strives to combine elements of each project’s function, site, context and environment to create meaningful architecture and successful buildings. Stephen believes buildings that support user needs, desires, and aspirations evolve and endure to shape our future. Not solely focused on design, Stephen also has considerable skills in the technical resolution of his ideas. He does not “hand off” a project after generating the form but remains a leader of the project team from conception to occupancy.
Stephen serves on the Board of Trustees of Billings Middle School and the Advisory Council of the Montana State University School of Architecture.
